Thanks to the kind support of Robertson Construction Tayside and their contractors- Angus Decorating Company, GAP Group, Speedy Hire and Crown Decorating Centres, we have had a lovely make-over.
Gone is the council blue and replaced with warm green tones. This was all made possible by a 'wish' posted on Dundee City Council's Community Wish platform which was so very kindly picked up by Robertson Tayside. We closed for 2 weeks whilst we stripped out, re-decorated and renewed our cafe. We also used the opportunity to bring in electricians to install new lights, we brought in some new furniture for our family area and invested in a new, faster coffee machine.
As Jane Elder, Social Impact Manager at Robertson Construction said
"This wasn't just about the refurbishment, it was about creating capacity for an amazing social enterprise that creates jobs, builds confidence and offers opportunities for women at all stages of their journey through training and work. Braw Tea shows what community wealth building can achieve- local people supported, local supply chain used and profits put back into people and places"
We invited Robertson Group and their very helpful contractors over for a sweet treat brunch earlier this month to say thank you! The photos show our new look.
